Love Awaits

Tomorrow she waits
For this moment I did anticipate
And made a joke of it on our first date
I could not see her for fifteen years
I had been locked up
And sent away
All she could get from me
Was a letter a day
And a short call at night
In May I was joking
But it happened alright
Right at the same time
As it did the other times
And I was left to wonder would she still call me mine?
Still ask to hear my mind?
But
She did not waver
And she did not flee
She said please amor come visit me
And so
Love awaits me
In its city
And again I will see her face oh so pretty
Her warmth
The spark she gives
The part that has been missing
To be in her room is what I have been wishing
To show her more of me
No need to convince her or make her believe
Because I know she sees
I know she cares
I feel it in her stare
That is how I know it is love that awaits
I cannot wait for our next date
See art and contemplate
Not go to the streets and demonstrate
Or say things that only frustrate
With her in my life
I want to participate
I want to take it all in
Every game I play I feel like I win
Regardless of the score
There is no game with her
She is so pure
She is so clear
To her heart is where I do steer
To the love that awaits
Towards Heavens gate
