Hera and I
Planned a reunion for the end of July
When we were done
We asked about each others loved ones
Said she had just been to our west coast city
A week at the beach
Her skin was golden and oh so pretty
Hair like gold
Eyes of pure sapphire
Anyone who could see
Clearly saw her majesty
However
To me
She did not quite look right
Still appeared to be somewhat in the grip of something less bright
Was it her job?
Or that lame dude?
Who I never understood how he got that ring on her hand
Convinced her to settle
Never sees us anymore
Further up Lake Cayuga’s eastern shore
And to us Billy Baldwin is still a bore
I told her about my life
Half my year at a desk
The other half looking fresh
At my best
Making pretty things, cartoons, and angel wings
She said that’s perfect for me
And it is the truth
And if Hera says so
Zeus knows it too
The very next day
I saw her
Wearing the same color as Athena Nike
Her eyes beautiful
And her skin pale
Blanketed by Michael
To hide her holy grail
But when I look at people
I see right through
She was covering her heart
Because she knew
When I look at her I will fall apart
Cause I’ve imprisoned myself
In a seashell
On the ocean floor
Keeping Poseidon’s daughter safe
We all know her name
And we exclaim at her beauty
Protecting her is Artemis’ duty
And she was the reason for the Hellenistic War
And that other stupid one before
Why I took her to the ocean floor
Set her next to Tartarus’ door
In the view of Cerberus
Made sure all the lost souls of this land would live in the River Styx
And I’d play Hades and be forever damned
Until I got word again from the Pleiadian Star clan
Heard Navajo whisper words from the sky
Chief Frozen Arrow’s gaze fixed
Through Odin’s Raven’s eye
Ullr and St. Germaine at the top of the mountain
All Clear
Bathed in Lord Everything’s holy fountain
Ready to show the world
How to face fear
How to close your eyes
And open your ears
Then the message is quite clear
Love everyone and everything
Release all doubt
We are all luminous beings
And this is just the beginning of
Happily ever after and infinity
