A couple weeks ago I was in the Ocean A
And swam in the Pacific as recent as yesterday
But today I board an airplane
Fly back to my hometown
35,000 feet above the ground
Way above the clouds
Way above the birds
Up where the angels fly around
Going from coast to coast is awfully nice
I have been blessed to be doing it all my life
Which do you prefer, NY or LA?
How about one on one day
And the other the next
It’s a life not that complex
And definitely one you will never forget
Or regret
Cause when you travel from coast to coast regularly
A varied and new life seems ordinary
Not dark and scary
Not something to be weary
But rather
By going coast to coast
You insure that you are going to learn the most
See different things you can’t see in your city
New and different things that are pretty
New food to eat
New people to greet
At a bar you can meet
Dance
Turn those things at the end of your legs into happy feet
Take the party to the street
Put more friends on your roster
More tweets to read
More grams to see
More cool shit in your news feed
If you just stay in your city
Just stay in one place
Never get some extra sun on your face
You never even contemplate
Likely spend too much time to complicate
And fixate
Feel stuck
Like you’ll never get away
Just be trapped at work chained to your desk all day
That is not the way
Travel and see the world, any place
Need not be in a city near the sea
For Gaia mother earth offers plenty
Experience is our best teacher
No need to listen to only preachers
Or always be stuck in the bleachers
Get on the field, play!
Give glory to the Lord everyday
And do as they say
Live and love abundantly
Explore this world freely
And always learn form it
Infinitely
