It sure is raining
Raining, raining, raining
Raining hard like it did all week before the JV championship game
Started on the day of our first date at the bagel shop
Back to your apartment
In the rain we did walk
It’s raining like the first night you asked me to take you home
We left the party
I said my car was a few blocks away
We got soaked
But who cares we’re going to take our clothes off anyway
It’s raining like it did the night of my 28th birthday

In red rocks glow
It’s not suppose to rain like this in Colorado
What do I know
I’m not a weatherman
How the weather works
I don’t really understand
But this I do know
I am sure it’s God’s plan
And I once saw this story
That Aquarius season starts with raining
The Earth replenished
Sadness waning
All things useless draining
Is that what is happening?
Finally the new world is commencing
So why are there so many people demonstrating
Irritated
And agitated
Demanding the truth no longer be fabricated
Maybe that is the beginning of the new world?
Maybe all this rain is needed
Maybe we should all rinse off
Get rid of all that bad stuff
So tomorrow we can wake up brand new
And I can just watch all this rain on the porch sitting next to you
Kind of just want to go out in it
Get really wet
Not give a shit
If you don’t know by now
Water is life
And when it falls from the sky
Know those are blessings from on high
Individualized drops from the Divine
We need to free our minds
Heal our bodies
And open our hearts
Then I think the Age of Aquarius will start
I hope there will be miracles
Like when Moses made the Red Sea part
I also hope there will be lots of art
Our worries will depart
