And a sign for change

I hope it is for the better

Cause it is time for things to be different

We need a delta sign

Not really a Delta Airline

And we’re good on sororities

That’s fine

But I want a change

And I’m not talking percent

Not DY/Y

And we need to do more than just try

More than just make a statement

To post to the internet

We need a change

Like the seasons

It’s time

The leaves need to turn

And fall

Winter should set in

Life needs to stall

Huddle up and crawl

Into a cave or burrow

Wait for spring

For the Robins to return and sing

Then winter changes into spring

Let’s have a fling

A change from what we’re used to

Someone different

Someone new

Change it up

So what

Different is what we need

A new equation

But before we get to equals sign

I’m going to need to see that DDeltasign

Because there’s no use in solving an equation that does not measure change

No point in changing numbers

If we want to change the game

In that case the chips we just rearrange

The real problem remains the same

And our hearts do not actually change

That is where we really need it

We need to see different

And be different too

A change for me and you

No longer will we see each other as different

But as the same

Two peas of the same pod

Until we return to the sod

To get there we need to follow a new direction
