I voted today
But there were 10,000 Russian bots in my way
Hail Donald Trump
Was all they could say
But it’s Election Day
Votes count
My sticker won’t go away
And tomorrow morning whatever the news does say
All things will remain
Our country will be the same
Still getting upset with protests at football games
Even though all they ask is that we change
That we live the American Dream
Not just sing an anthem as our pride beams
But be honest with each other
Be kind, gentle, love one another
We must heal the past
It won’t mend in a cast
As we hobble forward
Say we’re in first
But we’re in last
So vote today
Have your say
Cast for red
Or cast for blue
But tomorrow whatever you do
Do not expect things to be different
Just because of the hue
Cause the same people who own red
Own blue too
That’s why those bills go through
So the fat cats can get fatter
So vote
But it doesn’t matter
We will still be tomorrow
Where we are today
We will still have bills to pay
To our corporate masters
But we will have each other
We will have our love for one another
We can choose each day
From nine til five hours afternoon
We will not be in a tomb
Or chained to wage slavery
That will only be part of our day
Followed by us
The kids
And a romp in the hay
Then we sleep do it all another day
So vote today
And tomorrow do
Start to change the world through you
Be what you want
Let others do what they do
