I’ve walked the earth
And seen the sights
Been to the highest of heights
Beyond everything
And sometimes I feel like nothing

Always asking for the Lord to reveal their plan
Why don’t I just live
And have faith
Be patience
And wait
I need not know the date
I just need not hesitate

When I feel you resonate
Love with you I would celebrate
I wonder when I will feel like me again
I wonder if I will not pretend
My hand I can lend
Your heart I can mend
Time I can bend
And your wishes I will send
To the One
Who makes them true
Who makes you
You
To change my world
The choice is easy
Change myself
Change the things I do
Change what I see
Change what I hear
Change how I be
But I need not change everything
Because much of me
Like much of you
Comes from the Lord’s creation
That means it is of eternal manifestation
Not for human consumption
Or meddling
Or altering
We are Divine conception
We are meant to build off this tree
To be the fruit that is everlasting
To be connected
And unique
Each with our own life to seek
I seek mine
Again in a new home
In the same place
Same face
But wiser hair
Seemingly going nowhere
But we are always on our way there
