I can’t believe this happened again
Met a girl I wanted to call my girlfriend
Had a few dates
Only could call her carino
Which means sweet affection
When we met it was a Divine reflection
No time for guessing
Cause she just wanted directions
Just said follow me
That is where I am headed
The last time I met a woman this special
I kept a secret
Until she spent the night
And behind the scenes she did peep it
A box of pills
Not for thrills
Or relief
Only to pretend make me sleep
But they do more than that
They suffocate me
And make me wonder
Do these people even know what it means to be under?
And the Lord above?
Have strong wings like a dove
Not be afraid of anything
Know you are perfect
A luminous being
Mi carino always says I’m the best
And that is how I know she is here to bless
When I call from the hospital
I know she will not second guess
She will just be happy to hear my voice again
She will be happy I’m letting everyone know she’s my girlfriend
And that I will beg please baby let’s not let this end
Cause it is only just the start
She has only begun to warm my heart
How to explain this is the hardest part
Cause I don’t even believe what I have is sickness
Because they have no proof
And to that I am a witness
Please know carino that when you land today
Back in the land of the brave
