I met this girl just last week
Swore I knew her
But she was clearly unique
I had heard her name
And I knew her place
But I had never seen this face
Is this the beginning of a new chase?
Oh I hope not
So tired of always being second place
Although this girl was new
Like I said I was sure I knew
Not only because she reminds
Or has the same beautiful smile that shines
Or yet again she finds her way into my rhymes
I knew because how she felt
So warm and beautiful
Definitely like no one else

Had no plans to take the 11 bus that day
But there I was standing in her way
Happy when she asked a simple question
Not trying to receive her doctoral lessons
Or stupid guessing
Just wondering if I knew the way
I was going that way too

From a huge foreign city
Smart and hopefully a little silly
After I helped her out
My next task was to ask her out
Show her what my town is all about

Different name
I knew I knew this girl
But this one is from a whole new world

When I found out her sign
And her age
Again she seemed the same
My favorite zodiac
From years back
And my same age
Same as all my girlfriends from my school days
But she’s not the same
Although she may carry the same flame
Even if she’s from the same stars
Loves Art
And hates bars
Even if she reminds me of all the other girls
I am sure she is the only her in all the world
Cause I’ve never seen the light
I saw in her smile
Now I just want to do this right
Say nice things and be polite
