Finally we landed
On a grassy hill
Both of us laying on the ground
Still
We looked up and the sky began to fill
Stars of all kinds
All colors, all shapes of every size
I laid there
The boys hand in mine
I began to cry
Not tears of sadness
But tears of rejoice
I was so glad I made my choice
I turned my head to look in his eyes
They were filled with tears too

“Thanks for finding me” he said
“I thought I was dead
I could not even lift my head
We had such a great trip

And put the car in drive
Into town we went
On to my new life to thrive

I let him out and decided to head home
The house I can’t forget
The numbers in my memory forever set
I got home and went to my room
There was nothing to get
Everything was there
Right where it had always been
I put myself to bed
Tomorrow my life is set to begin
