Another Day at The Lake

I drove these familiar streets
On a beautiful day
The refreshing lake that is what is waiting for me
A view that is a sight to see
The setting sun
Making us all feel young
A boat speeds by
We wave and say hi
We wish we were on board
And they wish they were with us on shore
The splendor we cannot ignore
So where else would I go?
With free time on my hands
And summer in the land
I got it
I understand
I am happy just to be here
Because there are plenty
Not as lucky
When God gives gifts
Please receive
It is only the Lord listening to your needs
Know they are blessings
And given instructions
No need to doubt the maestro’s conduction
That’s why it is obvious to come to the lake
Lie in the sun
Listen to the boat wakes
Sitting here amongst everyone
All these people live here too
Not really sure what they do
One of them is certainly you
If not
If you have never been to this place
One of this little town’s great escapes
Then set a date
And get here with haste
No more time left to waste
Summer wanes
And soon we arrive at the Equinox gate
Summer will be all done
And you will have to wait until next year to come
And have fun here
There is no need to delay
No reason to say no
For the lake is beautiful
But it is not just for show
It is to enjoy
Don’t you know?
That’s why I came
So should you
Relax and cool off in the lake
Enjoy the sun
And listen to the boat wakes
