What time is it now?
Is the show over?
Time for a bow?
Is it 1997?
Or 2011?
Because just the other day
I was at the Magic Kingdom
Alive and at play
Having a fabulous time
Although it was the last millennium
I spent any time at Walt’s theme park
Didn’t need the map
Even when it got dark
I could still remember the way
And still recount the fun of those now long ago days
What time is anyway?
Calendars and clocks
Hours and a wristwatch
I read once time was just the next dimension
And does not run in a straight line
Once you learn time is actually
Just measured in one lifetime
And that means whether you did something at 15
It will be the same the next time
10 or 20 years later
Does not matter
Because if you stand in one place
Once
You stand there always
Well beyond your body’s last days
Even past the time of Ra’s last rays
And the creation of more stars
In this section of the Milky Way
Your time will not be forgotten
So no need for all the counting
Or any sort of measure
For life’s purpose is to live in pleasure
