The opposite of what’s in the paper today
In America another day of tragedy
Bombings on tax day
Marathon Day
Patriot’s Day
Why another sad day?
Another disaster of our own making
Not because of terrorism or legislation
Because we are not living Everything’s instructions
Love
In a world of love
We don’t need bombs
We don’t need guns
These do not come from love
Darkness and fear are not above
There it is clear
When we start with love
Even the worst conflict is solved
Hurt feelings resolved
Comforted and we sing a song
Another day to hear the President speak
Not uplifting words
A message bleak
Another tragedy
Our country mourns
Lady Liberty her heart torn
How many more?
This could be the last one
If we just live in the New World already begun
The one of love
Limitless and endless
All are blessed
Beloved please do not second guess
This is not a test
Not trials
The toll was paid
The new bed is made
Let us lay down in each others arms
Comfort each other
Love one another
As we are meant
This message is Heaven sent
