A Dream Comes True

What happens when a dream comes true?
What do you do?
Believe it is not for you?
Feel it must be for someone else
Perhaps one with more wealth
Feelings others have felt
Not you
For you are not allowed to have your dream come true
Why can’t you be worthy
Why not you as the one who is deserving
It should be
I’ve been watching
I hope they too do see
All you do
How you’re wonderful
And beautiful
And how you deserve to get what it is you dream
At least if it we’re up to me
I’d give you that
Plus infinity
And soon we’ll both see
A dream can be the same as reality
All we have to do is live graciously
Patiently
Do not be the one to dictate dreams
Just wish them
And ask for assistance from the Lord above
Everything
The One
Each day we can make our world
In every deed done
In every kind act
In the bond we share
Our holy pact
Living in love
Heart to heart
The next time a dream I dream comes true
The next sign of a holy clue
I won’t only think of you
I’ll be thankful
And grateful
That my dream did come through
Because the dream I dream now is for me
So I can do my part in plenty
Fulfill my own goals
Mend my own heart’s holes
I wait patiently
Until that day
The day my dream is real
And love is all I feel

The Last Dream

The day could come soon
Maybe tomorrow
Maybe this afternoon
It might not come at all
I’ll just wait forever for the call
Go alone to the ball
Stay in my apartment that is small
Why move?
It’s just me here
No need for more space
No extra closet
No need to move to a new place
When you’re alone
It’s just you that is home
And when you get there after a long day
No one greets you
No one asks, how was your day?
Or want to listen to what you say
I don’t love it this way
But I don’t hate it either
Cause my patience has been tested
My tolerance for others
Close to zero
Yeah you guessed it
Probably why things are like this
Probably why at night it is always the same wish
Please Lord help me change this
Rearrange this
So I too can know bliss
Again feel a warm kiss
From someone who means it

Not feel like lying when I say

When that dream does come true

Shadow Side

There is another side
The one we all try and hide
In truth
We know it is inside
The darkness
The endless pit
The emptiness
Filled only with loneliness
We know when we see it
Cause we know we shouldn’t
The kind of behavior we all despise
Until we realize
I am capable of that too
Everything in me
Is also in you
So the horror includes us too
Bombing women and children
Sex slavery
All abomination
All sin
We all hold the darkness within
We all have a shadow side
Yin’s opposite
Yang’s foolish pride
But if we all know hate
All can be prejudice
All can discriminate
We all can love
We all can be the light
That also dwells in all
That we all know when we see it
In laughter it is always present
In your embrace
I feel it
When people help out
And lend a hand
Or raise their voice and take a stand
We know love is true
I know it is in me
I know it is in you
So when we can decide what we do
When we choose
Who to be
And what we let others see
Let’s be love
So that that darker side
Can turn to the light
And the light side
Can be the one to brighten the night
Each side has a place
But on earth
Our job is to be safe

Spring Hath Sprung

Spring hath sprung
Winter is done
But there is still snow on the ground
And my heart is still cold
My love still untold
Still waiting for my gold
My award
A special graduation cord
Enough about me
Let me listen to the Lord
Spring has begun
A new start has come
Tomorrow we feel a little warmer sun
Birds now again sing
And those returning
The ones that wait for spring
I remember that shade of green
The first one seen
Before the leaves become flush with color
A green
Greener than any other
Soon it will be Earth day
Let us celebrate our mother
Actually let’s please love her
In our actions and our deeds
Not in bumper stickers and smoking weed
Let’s do our part
And plant seeds
Stop using oil
Make all believe
The sun and the wind are all we need
To run all this world’s electricity
In spring
Love blooms
Creatures look at each other longingly
And decide to dance the dance of eternity
Become gods themselves
And create new beings
Out of their own organic chemistry
This is the way
It has always been
So we should pay attention
Get bored with this so called global ascension
This spring we can start
We can play a new part
In this play of life
Stop being the bringers of strife
But reach for greater heights
To live in love and gratitude

The choice is easy

Comes from the Lord’s creation
That means it is of eternal manifestation
Not for human consumption
Or meddling
Or altering
We are Divine conception
We are meant to build off this tree
To be the fruit that is everlasting
To be connected
And unique
Each with our own life to seek
I seek mine
Again in a new home
In the same place
Same face
But wiser hair
Seemingly going nowhere
But we are always on our way there

My Little Pony

There is a horse
His name is Tucker
Actually he’s a pony
A rascal and sort of annoying
He is kind of gross
He likes to roll in the mud
And a pest when he tries to steal your gloves
Whether they are in your pocket
Or on your hands
In the hay he does stand
Scratches the ground
Because he wants some grain
I say stop
And pull on his mane
Yell his name
Tucker!
Behave!
But he won’t
He just wants to play
Get out of the paddock
And run all day
He would if he could
Whether or not he should
Tucker lives by his own rules
Decides who is and who is not cool
All the mares
They say Tucker you are a fool
And no one likes you
Stop bothering me while I am eating hay
Still the same every day
When I go to feed the horses
It is the same two courses
Grain
And hay
One after the other that’s the way
And Tucker
He’s the same always
Rolling in the mud
Stomping his feet
Always wanting something to eat
With a bite is how he does greet
And that rascal look in his eyes
I do not really care about his size
I am going to headlock him
Through away his feed bin
Laugh when he gets no dinner from me
I am just joshing though
This is how my love for tucker does show
Cause I think he knows
How I feel about him
Always nice when I rub his chinny chin chin
Give him carrots
Let him chew on them
I wish I could be like Tucker
Spend my days in the sun
Rolling in the mud
Loose this tie and fancy shirt
Cause like Tucker
I rather be covered in dirt

A Bourbon Night Farewell

Bourbon fills the glass
Where will it take us tonight?
Will it take us to places we have never been?
Will it reunite us with old friends?
Tonight let’s not fight it
Let’s let the bourbon work it’s magic
Remind us of the good days gone by
And make tomorrow’s dreams come true
The bourbon falls from the glass
And slides smoothly down your throat
Its warmth embraces you like the summer days we’ve enjoyed
The bourbon dances inside us and brings us together tonight
The glass is out of bourbon
But it is not empty
It is filled with hopes and dreams in new places
And with the hearts of new faces
